starts on the ice and with the players

As we head into the halfway point of the season, the Chicago Blackhawks find themselves sitting outside of a playoff spot and at the bottom of the Central Division

The Chicago Blackhawks are not in a familiar spot halfway through the 2017 18 season, out of the postseason picture and sitting last in the Central Division.

It’s not a setup the upper brass can be happy about. It starts on the ice and with the players. With that said, let’s take a look at a few candidates who qualify for midseason MVP for the Blackhawks this year.

Patrick Kane

Artemi Panarin may be gone, but Kane continues to average close to a point a game 41 games, 40 points, 17G, 23A . Nick Schmaltz has shown good chemistry with Kane and has produced some quality scoring chances. Kane has had seven multi point games so far this year.

Kane has been the steady scorer for the Blackhawks since he put on the Indian head sweater 10 years ago. “Showtime” has been the face of this franchise and has become a leader on this team. It doesn’t matter who is on his line, he finds what little room there is on the ice to create a scoring chance.

Some would argue he is worthy of wearing an “A” on his sweater. He’s definitely shown it on the ice. With young players like Alex DeBrincat Richard Panik Jersey, Schmaltz and Vinnie Hinostroza, he can definitely be a role model for them.
